Hey, Cupcake

Make that a decadent cupcake and wine pairing taking place beginning 6 p.m. July 17 at D.O.C. Wine Bar, 2602 N. Clark. The cupcakes, made exclusively for the event by Molly's Cupcakes Chicago, include coconut lime macadamia nut (macadamia nut base with coconut cake, coconut mousse, lime buttercream and candied macadamia nuts) paired with 2012 Vietti Moscato di Asti and strawberry balsamic blue cheese (vanilla cake, strawberry filing, blue cheese crumbles with minced strawberries tossed in a strawberry balsamic dressing topped with blue cheese croutons) paired with 2007 Chateau Bel Air Sautemes; $30.
